Pink Galah and Banksia by Carlie Edwards

Is the Galah silly? Most likely not, but its antics and noise gave rise to a slang term that implies that it is. The pink and grey cockatoo (also rose-breasted cockatoo) is an Australian icon. Found throughout the country, on farms, in parklands, backyards, and vast open plains, there's something very Australian about the Galah.
Carlie Edwards grew up in Byron Bay and the surrounding bush and beach from this region are often the inspiration behind her work. She has a love of Australian wildlife which is featured in her work. Each piece is crafted with hundreds of coloured pencils and an enormous amount of love.
