Matching game with Aboriginal images

Children start to enjoy matching games from around 18 months - two years, while older children can use these Aboriginal matching tiles for drawing, exploring, and making up stories. This puzzle is a fun introduction to our First Nations culture. The nine tiles picture animals, birds, significant places, and Aboriginal tools – but they are split in half and children have to match them up to see the full image and the name of the item. 

Some might already be familiar, like the turtle and the boomerang, but how about the nulla nulla and the jabiru? 

The maker, Leanne Murner, is an award-winning designer and author based in Newcastle. Her handmade Australian-themed educational toys are designed to help kids learn about our own back yard.
