Bring a little night sky into your living space and enjoy a glimpse into First Nations people's understanding of the world around us. Sit this print virtually anywhere in your home or office and get lost in it whenever you need a few minutes escape.

The painting by Alma Nungurrayi Granites depicts the great Warlpiri story of the ancestral Napaljarri Sisters, or Seven Sisters, found in the night sky in the star cluster known as the Pleiades, in the constellation Taurus. Artists who paint this Dreaming explain it is the story of an Ancestral Being in the guise of a man who relentlessly pursues seven sisters over land and sky. There are many interpretations of this Dreaming and Alma Nungurrayi Granites presents a powerful view of the seven women against an intricate and deeply complex sky.

This small framed Australian art print will hang well with a group on the wall or can be placed on a shelf or desk.

A perfect gift for travellers or to send overseas.

The Artist, Alma Nungarrayi Granites (1955 - 2017), was a Warlpiri woman who lived at Yuendumu on the fringes of the Tanami Desert. She started to paint in earnest in 2007, developing a rich and imaginative style, while remaining true to her Warlpiri culture.
