Environmentally friendly and completely reusable, this cloth can be used to wrap a gift or can be a gift in itself. These furoshiki are made in Australia from recycled fabrics. Each cloth has a reverse side of plain backing so you have two different looks.

Furoshiki are square pieces of cloth used in Japan to quickly and easily wrap and carry goods. The term furoshiki is believed to have originated in the 14th Century when people used them to wrap their kimonos at the bathhouse. The custom soon spread and they became indispensible as wrapping for gifts and merchandise.

The maker, Jodee Sydney, founder of Zero Waste Kulture in the Northern Rivers region, loves to tell the story of sustainability through the products she creates. By using textiles that have already had a life, she reduces waste and unnecessary production. As the textiles are all natural, the cloths can be recycled when they are no longer needed.
