This is an original linocut of one of Australia's most iconic birds, the glorious Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo curiously observing the local environment. Look carefully and you'll see the banksia pattern in the background. The Artist, Nicole Spillane is inspired by Australia's unique birds, animals, and plant life, especially those that share her inner-city environment. She appreciates the imperfections that come with the manual aspect of printmaking, and believes they add character to the piece.
