The cockatiel, also known as the weero, weiro, or quarrion, is one of Australia's favourite birds. It is a gorgeous, friendly, and curious bird that is equally at home in the bush or as a much-loved family companion.

This tea towel, printed in Australia on organic cotton, has perfectly captured the nature of the cockatiel in a bouquet of native Australian flowers. The artist's composition has ensured that the tea towel will look good, whether folded and draped over the oven door or featured as a piece of textile art on the wall.

The artist, Kayla Reay, studied Visual Communication at the University of Technology, Sydney. She resides in the Illawarra and is inspired by the natural world which she regulary explores when hiking and bush walking. Her intricate drawings are screen printed onto tea-towels, tote bags, and art prints.
