These statement bamboo earrings from The Koorie Circle were inspired by the NAIDOC 2018 theme 'because of her I can'. Designed by Laura Thompson, the Coolamon earrings represent the wooden dishes used by Aboriginal women to help them gather food and water. They are also used to cradle babies.
Made from sustainable bamboo with surgical steel hooks, these earrings are super light.
The Designer and maker behind The Koorie Circle is Gunditjmara woman Laura Thompson. Lara's collection comprises contemporary Aboriginal designed and inspired pieces that tell a story, celebrating the culture, history and identity of Aboriginal Australia.-------------
