These Koorie Circle Coolamon earrings are super light, being made from sustainable bamboo with surgical steel hooks. Wear them to make a statement about women, or wear them because they're fabulous. Your choice.
The Coolamon was traditionally used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers to hold and protect their children. Women also used them to carry tools, food, and sometimes, water.
The Designer and maker behind The Koorie Circle is Gunditjmara woman Laura Thompson. Her collection comprises contemporary Aboriginal designed and inspired pieces that celebrate the culture, history and identity of Aboriginal Australia.
