What better way to encourage a love of the environment and reading than through a bookmark illustrated by May Gibbs. This enchanting illustration is also an ideal momento for any adult who grew up with the Gumnut Babies.

Cecilia May Gibbs (1877 - 1969) came to Australia when she was four years old. She returned to the UK to study in 1900 and subsequently worked as an illustrator, writer, and cartoonist in the UK and Australia. At 39, she wrote, illustrated, and published Gumnut Babies, her first story book, and went on to become one of Australia’s foremost children’s authors.

A note about colour: The perception of colour depends on the way in which it reflects light, and we can't guarantee that the colour on the screen is the same as you'll see in real life. We photograph items in daylight and interior light to give you an idea of how they will look under different conditions.
